•Derberl is an eleven-year old boy living in the Kawangware
slum. He lives with his aunt and his older sister.
Derberl's mother became very sick and unable to take
care of her children so she had to return back to her
rural home. That is when the aunt took them in, they
live together with the auntie’s children.

•The family faces so many challenges including food,
rent, clothes and school fees. Derberl’s aunt depends
on temporary jobs to provide for her family. She is the
sole breadwinner of the family.
 

•Derberl is a very bright and hardworking young boy.
He would like to be a pilot when he grows up.
 

•He needs education support.
